Neeva Baby Fetal Doppler

Hey mama! Now that you’re pregnant, we know you’re excited to start your beautiful journey! Pregnancy is a special time for women, and you’re probably just counting down the days until you’re able to hold your little baby in your arms.

Until then, you may also be filled with a lot of nerves, worried about the health of your baby while they are developing in your belly. A lot of women want to make sure their baby is doing okay every step of the way, but don’t like the hassle and stress of going to the doctors. You may be holding your breath between doctor visits, where you’re finally able to hear your baby’s heartbeat.

But don’t worry, you’re not alone in this feeling. It’s completely normal to be worried about your baby, which is why there are some options for you to have a peace of mind in the comfort of your own home! This can be done with a Neeva Baby fetal doppler.

What is a Fetal Doppler?

A fetal doppler is a handheld ultrasound device that picks up on soundwaves to listen to your baby’s heartbeat. This device gives you the opportunity to listen to your baby’s heartbeat early on in your pregnancy. The main benefit of having this handy is having a peace of mind at your convenience, and it also gives you and your family the ability to bond with your baby.

What used to be used as a medical device for professionals, is now something that many pregnant women consider an essential during their maternal journey. Rather than stressing during doctor visits, you’ll be able to build a maternal bond with your baby and also experience the joy of hearing your baby’s heartbeat in a comfortable environment.

We have two amazing dopplers that both give you a chance to build a connection with your baby; The Neeva Baby Home and the Neeva Baby Nano. It’s super important that you find a fetal doppler that best suits your personal needs and wants as a mother.

So the real question is: Which doppler is right for you?

Our Neeva Baby Guarantee

Rest assured, no matter which doppler you decide to go with, you’re guaranteed many benefits with the features that are included in both the Neeva Baby Home and Neeva Baby Nano.

Display

Both these dopplers have a LCD display, which is something that only more advanced fetal dopplers will have. With this display, you’ll be able to see your baby’s heart rate.

In addition to connecting with your baby by listening to their heartbeat, this display will give you reassurance regarding your baby’s health by viewing the beats per minute (BPM). The LCD display feature also gives better visibility in darker rooms which gives you more flexibility in where and when you want to use the device.

Speaker

And now for the best part of the fetal doppler; the speaker, which is what enables you to hear your baby’s heartbeat. Since this is one of the most important and basic functions of the doppler, you should find some comfort in knowing this feature is not compromised in either of the Neeva Baby Home or Neeva Baby Nano dopplers.

The sound that is projected from the speaker on both these dopplers is of powerful, high definition soundwaves. It makes for the perfect chance to showcase the sound of your baby’s heartbeat to your friends and family around you too!

Headphone Jack

Your baby is your greatest possession-- we don’t blame you for wanting some one-on-one time with your little one. You’ll be able to connect with your baby without having to share the spotlight or waking up your partner in the middle of the night with the headphone jack that comes on both our dopplers.

Neeva Home VS Neeva Nano

Knowing all these amazing features that are included in both the Neeva Home and Neeva Nano, what exactly is the difference?

Waterproof Rate

As a technological device, a safe thing to have is a waterproof feature. This is where you will see a slight difference in both devices.

The Neeva Baby Home has an IPX4 rating, which means it’s water resistant. This doppler will be protected from splashing water that comes from any direction. This will give you some comfort in knowing that you’ll have protection against slight exposure to water.

The Neeva Baby Nano has an IPX7 rating, which means it’s waterproof. This doppler will be protected in water up to 3 feet (1 meter). This will give you more security in knowing that you won’t get any water damage, even from submerging the device in water. This doppler may be the best option for you if you are considering a water birth, because your midwife will be able to use it during the birth to monitor your baby.

Dimensions

Size is something you should think about, especially if you want to take your doppler to-go. Normally, women will keep this device at home so the size isn’t a huge factor in deciding which one is best for you. However, it is worth noting the difference.

The Neeva Baby Home is 9.5cm x 15cm x 3cm. As you may have guessed, the Neeva Baby Nano is a bit more compact with the dimensions of 9cm x 14cm x 2.5cm.

Consider whether you would rather have a smaller object in your heart when listening to your baby’s heartbeat, or if you prefer a bigger handheld device with a larger display as well.

Probe

The higher the frequency of the probe on the doppler, the lower the penetration.

The Neeva Baby Home is 2 Mhz detachable while the Neeva Baby Nano has a higher frequency of 3 Mhz attached. It is important to know that the Neeva Baby Home (2 Mhz) will consistently pick up the fetal heart rate from 12 weeks into your pregnancy, so it’s still a reliable and effective option. However, the Neeva Baby Nano (3 Mhz) may be preferred earlier in pregnancy as it’s more sensitive to the baby’s heartbeat.

The Bottom Line

Here is a simple summary of everything you need to know about the Neeva Baby Home and the Neeva Baby Nano. Knowing all this information, it’s important to consider all of your personal needs and wants, to make the best decision for you!
